In Loving Memory

As his unkept sideburns whispered with the breeze, he stood there staring at us.
He approached with caution when we introduced ourselves.
I could see his emotions slowly catching up to our words as questions began forming in his thoughts. But nothing.

The dandruff lifted off his coat.

We took a photo with him as if with a landmark, then we left.
